A plain roll above the wet web of the paper used in creating a smoothing action at the top after passing through the roll.
(2) A watermarking dandy roll consists of a structure which ones is covered by wire clothes with designs, figures or letters affixed to it. Designs are impressed into the paper when the wet paper went passes under the turning watermark, therefore, leaving a permanent watermark in the sheet.
