Lenticular Business Cards Capture Interest
If you really want to make potential clients remember your brand, you have to go all out with your business card design. Maybe the traditional business card just doesn’t do your company justice. So what can you do?
Enter lenticular business cards. These are guaranteed to grab attention (and maintain it!) with its 3D moving image effect. Lenticulars refer to printed images that seem to change when you look at the material from different angles.
To achieve the effect, at least two images are divided into strips and laid out in an interlacing pattern. This means that you alternately join the strips from the two separate images. It’s going to come out weird at first, but then you’ll add a 3D lenticular sheet on top of the interlaced images. The sheet will refract the light passing through it, and voila! You’ll be able to see two different images from different angles.
Lenticulars can bring a much-needed flair to your business cards, as it effectively gives you two different images on a single side — just like this sample business card, which features the logo on one angle and the text on the other. This card uses an attractive color contrast. The card owner’s details are printed in dark purple against a light mauve background, while the logo is printed in light mauve against a dark purple background. Anyone who receives a business card as creative as this will definitely have a hard time not remembering it!
