Distinctive Silk Matte Color

Many photographers specifically request silk lamination for the desired effect it has on their photos and the colors of their design. It’s muting or softening effect can be compared to applying a very very subtle Instagram filter.
Silk adds Thickness & Durability

Our standard 16 pt cover stock is quite substantial but after the silk laminate is applied the thickness increases to 18 pt. Where are standard cards will begin to crease when folded, due to the thick paper stock, with silk the cards will now be very bendable, flexible and to some degree will snap back to form.
Silk gives Perfect Edges

Cards printed with heavy or solid ink coverage, especially dark colors like black and blue, on our standard 16pt matte finish may show flecks chipping off of the edge of the cards after trimming. Choosing silk is the best way to avoid chipped edges entirely. The fibers of the card stock are sandwiched between the two layers of the laminate, and when trimmed, the laminate will preserve the integrity of the stock preventing any fraying at the edges.
